This is the double sided coater, it is designed to coat both sides of a web at the same time and to also has the capability of coating tear sensitive mediums.

Below is the concept drawing which illustrates the basic operating principles of the coater.  The blade assembly which meters coating from the pickup roll and also applies coating to the web can rotate and immediately disengage the web which protects the web from tear out if the corrugator stops.
